The ground-run time is an interesting beast; it&#039;s particular to Minneapolis MIDO. There&#039;s a lot of &quot;wink wink&quot; going on here between what RVers are told and  what the people telling them mean. 

I was fully prepared to comply with the &quot;off the record&quot; meaning conveyed via other parties, but then I ran into the static RPM problem on my plane, so I ended up with the ground-run time anyway.

I mean to bring all of this up to Mark Giron, the FAA safety inspector, at the little gathering we had in homebuilt camping at Oshkosh last Wednesday but time got away from us. It&#039;s a good example, though, of the lack of a cohesive and coherent policy.</description>
